Our Story

Overlooking the banks of the Kennebec, the Biergarten is at the heart of Skowhegan. We’re one piece of the historic Skowhegan Spinning Mill revitalization project, restoring this iconic building’s place in the community. Our take on the traditional German biergarten is inspired by hearty recipes and quality time, and grounded in the vibrant food culture of central Maine. We like to host — with 125 indoor seats, an event platform, and an outdoor, family-friendly patio, we’ve got something for everyone.

 In addition to our focus on great food and entertainment, the Biergarten is committed to sustainability and local partnerships. Owned and operated by The Miller’s Table — just across town on the Maine Grains campus — the Biergarten works closely with our local farms, musicians, and breweries to ensure that everything from the ingredients to the entertainment supports Maine’s economy and Skowhegan’s history and positive growth.
